Milestone Header Creation

After creating a Milestone Template, you can create one or many related Milestone Headers. A Milestone Header, when the Milestone Template is applied to a record, will result in a Tracked Milestone. When creating you set a Relative Start Date and, optionally, a Relative End Date. These dates are relative to the Start Date and End Date specified when creating a Milestone Template.

Creating Milestone Headers

1. From existing or new Milestone Template, click New Milestone Header
2. Add Name
3. Select Start Date Calculation (see below for information on calculation types) and enter a Relative Start Date. Repeat for End Date Calculation and Relative End Date
   • Note: Specifying an End Date is not required. If left blank, the End Date of the created Tracked Milestone will be the same as the Tracked Milestone Start Date

Calculation Options

Percentage: Percentage of the overall record timeline, calculated based on the selected Start Date and End Date fields

Days After Start: Days after the record start date as defined by the selected Start Date field

Days Before End: Days before the record end date as defined by the selected End Date field

After creating a Milestone Header, you can either opt to create child Milestone Headers or child Milestones depending on the use case.
