As part of the Squivr Timeline functionality, a Milestone Template with default Milestones can be defined for any object the Timeline component is displayed on. A single Milestone Template can be defined for the desired object or you can create a separate Milestone Template for each Record Type of the given object.
Creating a Milestone Template
- Navigate to the Squivr app
- Click New Milestone Template from the Milestone Template tab
- Enter Template Name
- Select the Object that this Milestone Template applies to
- Select the Record Type that this Milestone Template should be used for
- If this Milestone Template applies to all Record Types do not specify a value here
- Set appropriate option(s) for how this Template can be used
- Available for Automated Selection
- Available for Manual Selection
- Optionally, you can also specify additional field-level criteria for when this template should be applied. See here for additional information: Milestone Template Creation Criteria
See these articles for creating Milestone Headers and Milestones
Note: In order for a Milestone Template to be applied to the Object specified, you need to create a Salesforce Flow or an Apex Trigger to initiate the action. See documentation here: Triggering Milestone Creation on a Salesforce Object
Example
Recurring Milestone Templates
In the case where a plan needs to recur: you need to go to the desired template, check the box on the top left that says "Is Recurring", then select the desired "Frequency".
For a more in-depth explanation of recurring templates, see this article:
Update Plan Summary Trigger Setting
Enabling this trigger will allow the Plan Summary Current End Date to be dynamically updated. With the trigger enabled: If the end date was based on a field such as Close Date and that field was updated then, the Plan Summary Current End Date will be updated to match respectively.
