This article guides Salesforce administrators through the process of granting users access to Squivr components, including license assignment and permission set configuration.
Note: You must have the Modify Users permission enabled for your profile to complete the steps outlined below.
1. Assigning Squivr Package Licenses
To enable Squivr access, users must first be assigned a license from the installed package.
Steps
-
Go to Setup in Salesforce
-
In the Quick Find box, search for Installed Packages
-
Locate the Squivr package and click Manage Licenses
-
Click Add Users
-
Select the users who should have access to Squivr
-
Click Add
Once the license is assigned, users can be granted access to specific functionality using permission sets.
2. Assigning Squivr Permission Sets
Permission sets control what functionality a user can access. These sets extend access without modifying the user’s profile and are the recommended way to manage Squivr permissions.
For testing, trials, or sandbox environments, we recommend assigning the Squivr Full Admin permission set to simplify access.
Permission sets in Salesforce allow administrators to extend user access without changing profiles. Assigning permission sets is the recommended method for granting users access to specific Squivr functionality.
This article provides two methods for assigning permission sets: through the User record or directly from the Permission Set page.

Best Practices
-
Use permission sets instead of profiles for flexible and scalable access control
-
Group users by access level (e.g. Base User, End User, Admin) to simplify permission management
-
Always verify access by logging in as the user or confirming visibility of Squivr components

'Product' is to be replaced by the product you are assigning. If you are using ArcSight for instance, you would see Org Chart in place of 'Product': Squivr Org Chart Base, Squivr Org Chart View All, and Squivr Org Chart Modify All.
3. You're All Set
Once licenses and permission sets have been assigned:
-
Users can begin using Squivr features based on their assigned roles
-
Admins can continue to configure Lightning components and Org Chart rules as needed
