What is a Quadrant?
A Quadrant is a grid made up of configurable boxes, where users can add structured items such as:
Strengths and weaknesses
Risks and blockers
Competitive advantages
Customer priorities
Each item supports rich text notes, allowing reps to capture context without cluttering shared views.
Key Concepts
Templates (Quadrant Configurations)
Templates define the layout of a Quadrant, including:
Number of boxes
Box labels and descriptions
Styling (icons and background themes)
Which library items can appear in each box
Templates are created once by administrators and reused across records.
Boxes
Boxes are the sections within a template. Each box can include:
Label (example: “Strengths”)
Description helper text
Icon and background style
Library Type Key (filters available items)
Sort order and active status
Items
Items are the entries placed inside boxes. Items can be:
Library Items (admin-managed reusable entries)
Manual Items (created directly by end users and available to convert to library items in the configuration page)
Each item includes:
Title
Description
Personal Notes (rich text)
Library
The Quadrants Library is a shared pool of reusable items. Admins assign items a Type Key, which determines which box they appear in.
Snapshots
Quadrants uses snapshot behavior:
Templates can be updated without changing existing Quadrants
Library items are copied into the Quadrant at the time they are added
This prevents historical analyses from being overwritten.
Where Quadrants Appear
Quadrants is available as a Lightning component that can be added to:
Account record pages
Opportunity record pages
Any Object record page (with adding a lookup field on squivr__Quadrant__c)
