ArcSight = Org Charts and Relationship Maps
General Recommendations
Because ArcSight is a visual tool, the more screen space you dedicate to it, the more of the chart will be visible and useful.
-
-
Recommended Layout: Ideally, allocate full or two-thirds or more of the page for the Org Chart component.
-
Alternative Access: If page space is limited, surface the Org Chart via a screen flow, such as a button or quick action.
-
Common Customer Setups:
-
Add the Org Chart to a dedicated Squivr tab on the page layout.
-
Use the App view for a global, organization-wide perspective.

Optimizing Account and Contact Views
Salesforce Account and Contact records often contain busy, outdated, or incomplete data. Squivr provides tools to help streamline and optimize these views:
-
ArcSight + Parking Lot: Use Squivr ArcSight’s Parking Lot feature to manage the most relevant data and keep key records visible.
-
Custom Views with Configurations: Create custom Org Chart configurations to surface only the data that matters.

Toggling Between Configurations
You can easily switch between different Org Chart configurations to view the data that best fits your needs.
-
Open the Org Chart component.
-
At the top left of the screen, click the Configuration Selector (settings wheel icon).
-
Choose your preferred configuration from the list.
Note: For a configuration to appear in this menu, it must be enabled with "Allow Configuration Menu" in your Org Chart configuration settings.
Setting a Default Configuration
If you want a specific configuration to load automatically when you open the page, you can set a default:
-
Enter Edit Page in Salesforce.
-
Click into the Org Chart or Org Chart Wrapper component.
-
In the component settings at the top right, select your desired configuration from the Default Configuration dropdown.
-
Save and activate your changes.
Your Org Chart will now open with this configuration by default, while still allowing you to toggle to others as needed.
Opportunity Contact Roles (OCRs)
If you’re using Opportunity Contact Roles in your Org Chart:
- Best Practice: Make the Role field required on the Opportunity Contact Role layout.
- Why: This ensures every new OCR record has a role assigned.
- Benefit: Users can remove someone’s role by simply deselecting one (or more) roles, keeping the Org Chart accurate and easy to maintain.
Account Contact Relationships (ACRs)
To keep your Account Contact Relationships clean and relevant:
-
Add a lookup filter to the Contact field on the ACR object.
-
Configure it so that Contacts already placed in the Parking Lot are not displayed as options.
